Question about Louis (spoilers)

I understand what the women are supposedly doing to their male victims, but I’m unsure about the death/murder of Louis. At one point it seemed as though they were framing Keanu’s character for Louis murder....but since they left him buried in the ground I’m not sure the police would buy this.
Could someone explain what the idea was, please?
