Gave up after several minutes

Sometimes I just ask myself, what are the critics trying to lead the audience.
I watched the movie because of the great reviews and rating here on IMDb, but couldn't survive after several minutes.
The storyline was just monotone, plain and unsurprising.
Feeling much consoled after reading some similar comments here.
But still 7 out of 10? Come on

I think you should try to watch it again. Perhaps after a year or two.

How old are you and what was wrong with the beginning. It set up the story. There's only a handful of titles this year even on par with this film.

I'm sure the teacher in your special-needs class is hugely proud that you managed to sit still for several entire minutes. That might be as much as 400 seconds! Isn't that a new record? Must be at least close. Good job.
