Anybody not liking his post-2015 reviews?
I started watching Jeremy's CinemaSins videos in 2013. His reviews from that time were shorter and more to the point. And he didn't sound like he was hopped-up on sugar.
Around 2016, I noticed major changes. His "sins" weren't really relevant, he added a good 5 - 10 minutes to pad the run-time, and I found myself having to pause some scenes because he only shows about two seconds of something and it quickly disappears from the screen.
I understand why he had to alter a few things I mentioned above (mainly due to YouTube's algorithm and for ad revenue), but I wish he would tone it down a bit, especially with trying to be "funny" by singing. This isn't American Idol.
I feel like some of his videos are coming off pandering to certain audiences as well. He's seems to be more careful about what he says compared to just ripping a film to shreds without repercussions like he used to do.
Just curious if anybody else feels the same. I miss the 2012 - 2015 period. When he re-uploads his older material, it's completely noticeable.
His net worth is around $6 million USD as of 2019. Sure that also plays a significant role.
