Kids in movies always put others in danger. All the time.

Jeezus I hate kids in movies. Such a cheap plot device to make sure they either add drama or create situations where the characters are faced with a task.

Sterilize yourself and improve the gene pool idiot.

Maybe you should sterilize yourself and read some books and watch some real movies-horror or not-and just grow a brain.this kid is an idiot that should die and jack is a wanker.the pussification of horror movies is going to kill me.

Carl! Caaaaaaaaarl!!!

I agree OP. They really need to stop it.

I can understand her refusing to follow orders since her "dad" was a controlling freak... you can't leave the bed and go downstairs until I give you permission... but then she was such an idiot, ALWAYS refusing to listen. The actress was good, the character was not. It's hard to get into a movie when you're hoping for the majority of characters to die. I'm looking at you, Jack.

Dont blame the kid. I believe it was the one adult that tied up a creature and allowed it to call to its pack rather than killing it. And the other adult that sent her down in a dark flooded basement with a creature roaming around. Why the heck would you do that! Keep her with you! Stick her in a closet if you must. But NOT on an entirely separate floor in a place where there is basically no light!

Yeah, kids, who needs them? More trouble than a puppy and they take forever to grow up! Wait...without children humans would become extinct? Where's the downside in that, I ask? We've been lousy stewards of the planet. Maybe it's time...

Bored now.

While I wouldn't say I "hate kids" in movies, I agree that most of the time they are in a film like this they make some stupid mistake that ends up getting someone seriously injured or killed, or at least adversely affecting the ultimate outcome.

An oft used plot device. It's like a reverse deus ex machina. Whenever a writer is stuck as to how to have something go bad, all they have to do is add a kid into the mix.

Time wounds all heels.

The child actress in this was terrific, but yeah I started to fucking hate her character -- she NEVER did what she was told and constantly ended up either in danger or putting one of the adults in danger. Annoying as fuck.
