Help please. Trying to locate a scifi movie.

Maybe someone out there can help me.
I've tried several web sites and none can seem to help me.
I will describe it and if anyone thinks they know what it is please let me know. tks
It is about a futuristic society that has robots doing everything for them and then suddenly the robot police force starts acting violent and killing off humans for no apparent reason and the remaining humans end up going up against them.
Many thanks to anyone that can comment me back with a clue.

Hi there, is the movie you are looking for called robotropolis? the robots weren't police officers but prototypes that are meant to maintain the city but suddenly go berserk and start killing people.
