What's the scariest movie you've seen?

I want to watch them all!

Halloween (original not the remake) something more recent: hands down Insiduous

Jacob's Ladder
The Serpent and the Rainbow

The Blair Witch Project and any of the newer exorcism movies freak me out besides The Last Exorcism Part 2. I don't find the original Exorcist movie that scary because of it's age. Maybe if I had been an adult when it first came out.

reply

The Exorcist, although Insidious isn't that far behind.

Honestly, if you want to crap your pants check out Japanese and Korean horror flicks. Never fails to induce sleepless nights, groans of disgust and high pitched screams. Notable movies from these genres that have petrified me half to death include:

- Ju-on (The Grudge
- Audition
- A Tale of Two Sisters
- One Missed Call
- Dark Water
- Ringu
- Dumplings

The Thai movie industry has churned out some terrifying flicks too:

- Shutter
- Meat Grinder
- The Eye

Enjoy and have a happy upcoming Halloween!

Depending on what one finds scary. J-Horror is the least scary sub genre for me. I've seen a few and I just find them boring. But I'm not arguing with you, we all find something different scary. Paranormal Activity and Insidious are my 1 and 2 scariest ever an they may not bother you at all 😃

One that got me, back when it came out, was the remake of House on Haunted Hill. When Dr. Vannacutt looks up at the security camera back at the person watching and does his jagged walk away...shudder.

"The Martian Manhunter is the heart of the Justice League." - The Flash (Barry Allen)

You should included the Art of the Devil Part 2 in the Thai department.

"Let them Hate as long as they Fear"

Not this one!

The Strangers. Just the fact that it 100% could actually happen is terrifying.

The Entity (1982)

The Exorcist
The Conjuring
The Others

Foreign Releases
Ringu
Ju-On
The Eye (original Korean)
One Missed Call (original Korean (or was it Japanese?))

^ The Eye is pretty good and quite a scary film, it's a Hong Kong-Singaporean film though not Korean. The film was directed by the Pang Brothers.

I'll add the Changeling to the list.

I checked and that's right. It's Hong Kong. Thanks.
