Why aren't Xavier and Logan recognized by common folk?

Seeing how the events of DOFP and Apocalypse were known worldwide, shouldn't Charles and Logan be somewhat recognizable? Great movie regardless.

Logan was recognized by a few people, notably Gabriella and the man with the cyborg hand. Someone also tattled on him to them, saying they saw Wolverine but he looked old.

Maybe because most people think that they look like in the comic books?
