85 million opening

I wish it had made more since I want to keep seeing R rated superhero movies.
Damn good and exactly what I expected...
I follow box office and When reports started coming in friday they had LOGAN at 70-72 Million for the weekend, I knew that it would exceed that, I was confident it would do between 82-87 Million.
I think LOGAN is gonna have pretty good legs too.
I could see a 230-255 Million dollar Domestic total
Damn good for an R rated movie and Damn good considering the last Wolverine movie didn't do anything close to this,"The Wolverine" got so so reviews and didn't have a great box office run, there wasn't a huge movement for another Wolverne movie and nothing about "The Wolverine" that would make you think A 3rd Wolverine movie would perform better.
and thats why this is so impressive, LOGAN Sold itself as something New, Not very many people saw Logan because "It was The 3rd Wolverine movie" or because they Saw "The Wolverine and was looking forward to a sequel"....no LOGAN's great box office performance is due to LOGAN being something special and Different, The Great Reviews, The R Rating and "Storyline" of the movie completely brought new audiences in...

Its looking at a 58% drop and 36 Million dollar 2nd Weekend.
Now a 60% drop is actually "Normal" for CBM's but I must say Giving Logan's Reviews, Great WOM and Great Opening Weekend , I dont think anyone was expecting A drop this big.
I dont know whats going on here, But Logan Isn't having good holds. With A Drop like this, if it continues Logans Looking at A Domestic Gross of like 200-215 Million...
and next Weekend is going to be even harder with Beauty and The Beast Coming out.
Logan Is definitely A box office hit, But for some odd reason its not performing like it should after Opening weekend.
Maybe WOM isn't as great as we first thought....Logan got An "A-" Cinemascore"...which is good but not Great...but giving Logan's reviews, everyone thought With an "A-" Cinemascore and The Great Reviews that Means Logan has Great WOM.
but maybe it doesn't, Maybe the "A-" Cinemascore is Just that, Maybe Audiences are just "Liking" Logan but not loving it.
I think There may be A disconnect between Critics and The General Public...based on Logans reviews, Theres no other explanation, Critics love the movie and think its great...But based on Logan's Cinemascore and now based on Logan's big 2nd weekend drop, It looks like Audiences are just "Liking" Logan but Not "Loving" to the extend Critics do.
I think that would account for Logan's big 2nd weekend drop, Audiences just dont like The movie quite as much as Criitics and Logan is Performing "Normal" rather than Great Like Its reviews would suggest
