It implies he had some type of condition that made him a target for the hate crime beating? or was he just gay. The movie ads keeping airing before youtube videos so I keep wondering about this. Also the movie looks incredibly, incredibly cheesy.

Just finished the movie. My understanding (from the film) was that he was a alcoholic transvestite who suffered a severe head injury from right wing homophobic idiots.
