Iris had to die...

I said this to myself last episode. But Barry can change things if he doesn't become that depressed guy and stay close to everyone... i wonder if they actually go for this spin?

reply

I'm guessing, it was not Iris. Someone else, wearing the hologram disguise thing.

reply

Oh, 100% its H.R. in that future disguise technology. He saved Iris while everyone was worried about Savitar and switched places with her. He felt responsible for her capture, wanted to right that wrong, be a hero, and pay them back for everything they've done for him.

Here's the thing, can Barry use his speed to, I don't know, GET HIM TO THE HOSPITAL!

reply

I don't know how H.R. could make the switch after Savitar got her. I think it may be Joe. They made the switch just in case before she got taken.

reply

No, because we saw Joe after she was taken and as far as we know there is only one device.

When H.R. could have made the switch I don't know. Perhaps he went to Earth 2 and took her aside and made the switch without anyone knowing or when Barry and Savitar were busy spinning in circles and Joe was trying to get a shot on him and the others were giving Barry Intel H.R. went in dragged Iris to cover and then used his device to swap places with her and sacrifices himself.

We'll see how they do it but its definitely H.R. because he gave that little goodbye speech and everything.

reply

Yes, I was betting on there being more of those things and hoping for less obvious plot.

They would have to keep playing their roles for Barry, since everything he knows, Savitar knows.

reply

Her name's Iris and I don't believe shes dead.

reply

LMAO, i would have never seen the blatant typo i did there. Thank you.. :D

reply

That's my working theory. Acceptance is the key. If Barry accepts her death and let's her go, then Savitar has nothing to fuel his anger.
This whole season theme is about acceptance. Some things can't be or shouldn't be changed. Almost everything that Barry went through this season is a result of Barry not accepting things as they are meant to be.

reply

We were wrong tho. :D
