The closest thing that we ever got to a Keaton-Reeve encounter on screen was the movie Speechless from 1994:

It had nothing to do with the actors but more to do with the script apparently and so much, the Snyder fans bitched endlessly about it and so much, you ended up with another version to please the fans so to speak
