Eisenberg almost single handily destroys this film

The extended version is actually a pretty decent film and has some outstanding set pieces I still remember. care about like the batman warehouse fight and batman taking out superman.

but Eisenberg is sooo cringe and out of place. imagine an actually intelligent Luthor who is a intellectual and physical threat. I mean its never been done before, with a smart bad guy behind the scenes with a mindless monster like doomsday... not doing that wouldn't make any sense...

He was trash. The movie just had way too many obvious plotholes and parts that felt incomplete/lazy.

agreed. the extended solved some but not all

He was just horrible. When he was cast, I was surprised but figured he'd play it like Mark Zuckerberg in Social Network. Cold, aloof, and sarcastic. What he ended up as in the movie was nothing what I expected.
Lex Luthor should be the smartest guy in the room because he literally is the smartest human being on the planet, even smarter than Batman. It makes no sense for him to create a destructive monster like Doomsday when he could had used the wheelchair guy as a guinea pig he could transform into Metallo or Parasite.
