shareI can only imagine a massive battle scene like that would have taken quite a chunk of the budget. I don't recall how the original series ended, but here it makes sense. Wish they could have gone into a bit more detail.
There are also some great Japanese films that show the battle, if not specifically focused on it. That, and other films have it as a sub plot, like early on in the Samurai trilogy.
