Blacklist Redemption Arc apparently dropped

So they had a big cliffhanger at the end of the Blacklist Redemption. I get that not everyone who watches the Blacklist watched the spinoff (which was cancelled) but I find it irritating that they just dropped it entirely when it was cancelled. And in an interview with the creator he has no plans to bring Famke Jansen or Terry O'Quinn onto the Blacklist this year. It would be so easy to weave that story line onto the mother show, especially since Tom's parents already have an established relationship with Red and it would make things pretty interesting in my opinion. Right now I don't really find the main narrative interesting.

Would be better for The Blacklist if Tom took Agnes to see the parents and they all died in a plane crash. The spin off was garbage but at least it could be used to clean up the mess the writers created because their star couldn't use birth control and got knocked up a couple of seasons ago.

I really like the spinoff. Mostly because it had a different feel from the mother show (more of fun spy show) and I really dug Famke Jansen and Terry O'Quinn. Even Tom was more tolerable in that setting. I can't stand him on the regular Blacklist.

As for your scenario to kill them all off...Did you actually watch all of the spinoff? Because his mother is in prison and his father was proven to be the evil mastermind in the end (essentially the Spader of that show) so they wouldn't all be going on a family vacation.

Sadly I watched the whole show, if for no other reason than I was almost half way through when I realized it was never going to get any better... and by then I figured I might was well see where it ended.

And yes they did give it an ending that would make a family reunion difficult, but my point wasn't to ever see those character together again simply to use them to take Tom and Agnes to their death. At the moment though I'm not sure I will care much more what happens as they are making Spaders character such a liberal mouthpiece that I'm quickly getting tired of the whole show. Was bad enough when he had to go some global warming vent a season or so ago but now they devote an episode to the racist black lives matter BS... please. It was refreshing when the PC expectation of the main character never killing anyone was thrown out the window with the Blacklist... but as it goes on and on it is becoming more PC to the point that I half way expect Red to just slap people on the wrist and say be good when he gets a bad guy.

And probably none too soon. The only reason I watch The Blacklist is Spader. He could entertain me reading a grocery list.
The rest of the cast, meh.
