Is it finally when we get rid of Adam Driver? He has ruined enough movies with his presence already. He must have the best agent in Hollywood. Probably the same agent as Kevin Bacon in the 90's.

Being a huge Michale Mann fan and tremendous love for Heat I must say that the source material for Heat 2 is very weak. It’s a mix of Heat, Miami Vice 2006 & Blackhat. Even featuring Chris becoming a “hacker” and trading ballistic missiles systems!
Also, Driver is completely wrong. Terrible casting.

Adam Driver is a fine actor, not great, but more than competent.
And considering that Mann is directing a film that he co-wrote, I think it’s safe to assume HEAT 2 will be decent at the very least.
No need to be such a Debbie Downer guys, Michael Mann makes solid films, and even Blackhat has grown on me.

I agree, Blackhat is good! However, Mann is chasing yesteryears fame with this sequel. Hopefully it will have the Top Gun 2 affect.

What kind of hit the first Heat was? I don't remember anymore. I only remember that I didn't bother to go to see it in theater and regretted it later on when I finally saw it. For some reason Mann's movies haven't pulled me in theater. The Last of the Mohicans I went to see primarily because a friend said it was good. Then I saw Collateral, but it was a dissappointment because I had so high expectations after Heat.
