Like dipping your dick in vinegar.

As far as Westerns go "The Salvation" is quite good, however the tone and the unpleasant beginning made the whole experience of watching the film a bit like dipping your dick in vinegar.
Or maybe it's just me. 6.5/10

agree- not a pleasant watch- because of the opening scenes- but I was unable to stop watching(full attention span)- short run time also worked IMO- your rating of the 6.5 is DEAD on- that's exactly where I have it also

Is that an expression or are you quoting Boyle?

It's an old wives cure for Genital warts. No, I haven't tried it.

Then how would you know what it's like?

Because it's better then a kick in the ass with a frozen mukluk. :)

Yes, I have a Podcast. Yes, I'm comfortable with that.

I might give it a try. .

I agree. Mikklesen, Eva Green, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan put in amazing performances here.

But, it is such a hard movie to watch. The scenes with his wife and son on the stagecoach and after they are found, the jerk sheriff giving him up, the brother being dragged dead, that poor old woman being shot right in front of her grandson, The Princess' constantly being treated like trash....yikes!

But, there is just something about Jensen getting his revenge and The Princess' final salvation that kept me watching.

m_wonderful - dunno if you can edit your post, but you may want to add a 'Spoiler Alert' notice in there somewhere. You know, before you give away the whole movie.

"Like dipping your dick in vinegar."
I'll just have to take your word for that, lacking your experience.
