He has passed away today of complications from bypass surgery. I have no idea if they have finished filming the current season or not, but there’s a new episode due to air tomorrow and they better put together some sort of tribute to him.

He was always the best part of the show. My favorite character in fact. Although he appeared less and less following season 3.
This was such sad news, George Segal is the reason I tuned in when the series premiered.
I used to love all his comedies in the 70s, The Hot Rock, California Split
They did give a nod to him at the end of the latest show with a quick in memoriam slide.
I doubt it will be addressed within the story line, so I wonder how many completed scripts are now going to need will a re-write.
