Evidence to support theory..

Ok, I am fresh off watching both seasons and have just rewatched the first two episodes...so Im sure many more "coincidences" are to come..Some of these arent evidence but just symbolism or maybe supposed to just be hidden coincidences..I dont know..seems to me that none of it is real or very little is real..maybe a story in his mind based off his life experiences? Maybe they all represent Garvey somehow? The creator also did Lost, which I have not seen but was told there was a reality altering twist at the end..so it wouldnt surprise me if what we are seeing is some kind of interprtation of facts ..So here goes

Walnuts - Megs mother send back a salad with walnuts, its later referenced when the psychic in Jarden recounts it back to Meg, the dog in the very first episode that gets shot, his tag says he lives at 319 WALNUT street

Laundrymat - we see a lady with a baby at the laundry mat just like we see Kevin later. The woman on the phone is talking about a FLOOD ruining the basement.Season 3 is supposedly heavily influenced by the biblical flood story and water is an ongoing theme in the show

Wiggenstein - Person on the radio says a quote by Ludwig Wiggenstein who wrote a philosophical book on the relationship between language and reality..the main theses of the book? 1.The world is everything that is the case. 2.What is the case (a fact) is the existence of states of affairs. 3. A logical picture of facts is a thought. 4. A thought is a proposition with a sense. 5. A proposition is a truth-function of elementary propositions. 6. The general form of a proposition is the general form of a truth 7. Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent. Obviously there is a lot of references to silence in the series...at the meeting of police before the memorial parade, Lucy says "At last, chief speaks" and Erika in season two has lost her hearing.

Closet - in 01x01 Kevin opens the closet and takes out his uniform just like he does in the "hotel" during his "death experience"

Native American tattoo - Kevin has one on his left rib/back area..the season 2 premiere featured a story about a Native American woman fighting to keep her baby alive. Garvey is OFTEN referred to as Chief.. a title often given to patriarchs of native american tribes.

On TV at Garveys - committe saying that miracles do not exist. The program is also on at the Guilt Remnant house and season 2 focuses on a town Jarden, TX which is dubbed "miracle" Also,
Jarden means "Jordan" in hebrew..in the bible this is Jordan...In the plain of the Jordan, between Succoth and Zarthan, is the clay ground where Solomon had his brass-foundries (1 Kings 7:46). In biblical history, the Jordan appears as the scene of several miracles, the first taking place when the Jordan, near Jericho, was crossed by the Israelites under Joshua (Joshua 3:15–17)

.Texas ties - The congressman Tommy picks up is from Texas, Tommy says he looked at schools in Texas.

Broken glass - Kevin smashes the family photo on the stairwell (we later see photos taken by the GR also on staircase wall) Jill takes broken glass out of the frame, Patti kills herself with broken glass fragment, both Erika and Nora throw rocks through a window to break glass..In 03x01 Matt tells Kevin he has broken glass in his hair

Tommy reading "The Stranger" by Albert Camus. A story about a man that feels no emotion at his mothers funeral/death SMOKES and drinks in front of her coffin..(Similar to Meg) and is subsequently incarcerated for a crime.. Maybe Kevin is incarcerated and creates the story of The Leftovers to cope? (Also Perfect Strangers is referenced at least 3 times in the series, next episode is titled "dont be ridiculous..Balkis favorite line) This is an excerpt from the book summary and I feel like its important:

In prison, while awaiting execution of his death sentence, Meursault meets with a chaplain, but rejects his proffered opportunity of turning to God. The prisoner says that God is a waste of his time. Although the chaplain persists in trying to lead Meursault from his atheism (or, perhaps more precisely, his apatheism), Meursault finally accosts him in a rage. He has an outburst about his frustrations and the absurdity of the human condition, and his personal anguish without respite at the meaninglessness of his existence. He expresses anger about others, saying that they have no right to judge him for his actions or for who he is, that no one has the right to judge another. Meursault grasps the universe's indifference towards humankind, and prepares for his execution.

Carrots - The first dinner with Kevin Jill and Aimee they are eating carrots..later in season 2 Evie gives Meg carrots to "stop crying". This is from Romans 14: 1-4 - Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not for the purpose of passing judgment on his opinions. One person has faith that he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats vegetables only. The one who eats is not to regard with contempt the one

And more:

Birds - a reference to a penguin (also an episode title), the bird tapestry above Jills bed, the bird in the hotel, the bird circling the native american mom, the pigeon that Matt keeps seeing, the burying of the bird (for 3 days like the resurrection of Christ) The birds in 03x01..at the end with Nora, similar to Noah releasing the dove in the flood.

"Its f*cking stupid" - Meg says this about chopping the tree, Kevin says this about singing karaoke to get out of the "hotel"

Crucifix - Tom while driving passes one on the side of the road in Nevada that looks just like the one the GR carry into Miracle in the season 2 finale

"Cut her Loose" - Patti says this to Laurie about Meg after finding out she is still kind of weak. Its after she tries to chop down a tree, Gladys was also tied up and bound to a tree.. Its symbolic of Kevins attempt to cut Patti loose from the chair in the cabin.

Poison - Wayne says to Tom "Youre a good boy Tom, thats why it feels like there is poison inside you" As we find out later, Kevin injests a whole lot of poison in season 2 to try and solve his problems.

Smiley face - Only two episodes into the rewatch so maybe there are more but the smiley face recurs on the pancakes "that you cant get in the big house" (maybe another jail reference?) and on the phone that Wayne gives to Tom

Blue shirt violence - Blue is a common theme throughout the series and also the color to remember the Departure, but it pops up a LOT before a violent outburst
1.Jill hits teammate, wearing blue shirt 2.Dean shoots dog, wearing blue shirt 3. Memorial parade attack, people all wearing blue 4. Kevin punches Gr guy when looking for Laurie, wearing blue 5. Kevin and Dean shooting dogs, both wearing blue 6. Tom shoots AFTEC guy, wearing blue sweatshirt 7. Guy that beats up Matt in church, blue bandana
Also both Nora and Erika are wearing blue tank tops when they throw rocks through each others windows. The crazy German guy with no pants that attacks Christine is wearing only a blue shirt.

Peanut butter - Kevin brings his dad peanut butter in psychiatric hospital, the money Garvey Sr hides is in a peanut butter jar..ok maybe he just really like peanut butter? lol.inn 03x01 we see the "peanut butter sandwich" again in his convo with Dean...also in episode 01x03, Aimee is eating a peanut butter sandwich and Kevin asks her "Are you enjoying my sandwich?"

Dean - Tells Kevin that a pack of dogs are living in a drain pipe. One of the few ways into Miracle is through a drain pipe.

Ok so Im going to continue to watch and probably add more...I know that many of these are a reach but if this show doesnt encourage you to take a leap of faith I dont know what does ;)

I know it is over-used, and I don't like the phrase at all, but in this case it fits - get a life.

wow, no need to be insulting...wtf is wrong with people these days? Its a theory ffs

That's not an insult. It just seems like you are spending so much time, many lines over something that I'm just wondering if it is worth it to you? I liked the first season, but it has become apparent there is not a lot of care being put into the plot of this and it is up to viewers to make up stuff to give it meaning. That is what irks me, not that you like it. I think if someone is going to write a book or make a movie, there should be a point.

brux is a jerk. Ignore him. I like your observations.

I gotta say, I think that if you perceived and put together things like this in your
own life you would be one of the amazingly intelligent and great thinkers in human
history, but wasting your talents on a TV show like this makes me wonder why?

What value do you think the people who developed this show and story put into it
that you spend so much effort to find these coincidences, and what do you get
out of it? To tie this to the story, what value do you think the Kevin Bible would
have for any one? Do you think there is any literary connection between Kevin
and Jesus Christ, or could you consider this show blasphemous for tricking people
and wasting their time pretending to be of some value when to me it seems more
like eating potato chips and Twinkies - i.e. slow poison for your brain?

brux, if you are all about avoiding wasting energy and time, why are you spending time on here reading things you think are stupid and commenting on them? That sounds like the ultimate waste of time... unless you are just some unfunny troll, which is equally plausible. So you are either a jerk or a failure.
