if robin williams died in 2014 then how did they finish the film in 2014

?? Also I found it strange that Mickey Rooney died the same year maybe the same month ??

reply

First of all, it's not weird for people to die at the same time. People die every minute. Second, I imagine they used a magical machine called a computer to finish Robin's scenes.

God...people are stupid. Just because the movie was released in 2014 doesn't mean it was filmed in 2014. It could've been filmed the year before. Robin Williams and Mickey Rooney (both legends i hated to lose) finished filming before they died. There was no computer to finish their scenes. They did the movie then died. Shortly after their deaths the movie was released. Does that answer ur dumb question?

You don't have to be rude about it.

There is also a sometimes long period of time after filming is finished called post-production, where editing is done, special effects are added in and finalized, the soundtrack is added in, as are sound effects. Sometimes actors are called back in for retakes or to re-record lines, etc. This can take months, or even more than a year. And it's not terribly uncommon for an actor to die before their last film is released.

Good answer. I could not have put it better myself.

Some people seem to think a movie filming is quick and releases immediately. I wanted to be an actor when I was a teenager, so I researched it. LOTR (all 3) were filmed simultaneously over 2 years and released a year later.

Some movie premieres and openings are even postponed for various reasons.

It's not unusual for a film to take many months or even a year in post production editing before it was released.

If this film was released in 2014 filming was probably completed in 2013. Thus both actors had a chance to finish all of their scenes.

In the case of Phillip Seymour Hoffman, the few scenes he didn't finish they rewrote for another character for Mockingjay pt. 1 & 2.

They can also use doubles as in the case of Paul Walker.

It was wonderful to see Rooney and Williams as well as Dick Van Dyke.

For "The Crow" the last 2 days of filming was Lee's stuntman with computer effects to put Lee's face and voice to the stuntman.

when movies are made, the finished product isn't released to theaters within days of filming. it usually takes several months to put the whole thing together after they finish filming it. this is an annoying question to answer. Heath Ledger died 6 months before the dark knight came out, and he had finished filming all of his scenes. i'm willing to bet it generally takes at least 6 months for the studio to finish a film after filming it.

Well Tony, nobody wants a war. If we can't do business why we'll just shake hands and that'll be it!

Films are usually filmed a year or 2 before they are released, educate yourself.

Your question has to be a joke

Um....he died in 2015, not 2014.
