Okay. How didn't the couple think to call the police within minutes of escaping the alien's presence? (Is that not common sense?) Or call/run to friends to stay at their friends' place? (Assuming they have friends.)

And at 19:15ish, why did he touch the goo with his bare hands??? You'd think a smart person would wear gloves or PPE in this situation, right?

It's 2019/2020! They would have cell phones/Internet and better cultural sense (you know... since the 1960s, we've had a lot of additional experience as a culture). Right?

What would YOU do in their situation? And what do you think would have happened?
