I liked this... so I wonder if there are some Anime Series that have: mystery (suspense), philosophy and mind games). I've watched Code Geass, Death Note and Gantz... is there anything that can be put in the line with this tree (four with Attack on Titan). Thanks.

I am pretty new to anime, but after recently watching AoT and SAO, I really want to dig deeper.
So I sign up for CrunchyRoll.
I just pretty much search CrunchyRoll for every anime recommended here and I think they actually had episodes available for 2. i mean really, I checked for about 15.
Seems like CrunchyRoll may be a waste of money. I was not expecting a huge database of every possible anime I could want, but I did expect to find more than 2 of 15 plus searches.
And they only have half of AoT season 1 up...WTF is up with that?

I'm pretty new to anime and have hardly seen anything, but I would recommend Knights of Sidonia (Sidonia no Kishi) as similar to AoT. Although it's a sci-fi mecha anime, it's actually similar in a lot of ways. The remnants of humanity are trying to survive after being attacked by mysterious giant entities. An elite force tries to protect Sidonia from their attacks using mecha suits. The origin of the entities is unknown, the threat and peril is ever present and death and catastrophe always just round the corner.
I really enjoyed both AoT and KoS, try it out!
I only just started watching it, but Knights of Sidonia is pretty much the same basic plot. Odd-man-out is thrust into cadre of highly trained warriors fighting for humanity against strange monsters.
shareAttack on titan is the best of all but I have some Anime that cold match it (FullMetal Alchemist BrotherHood \\ HunterXHunter \\ Steins;Gate \\ Monster(it's old 1996 but one of the best \\ ) and I see that you already have seen the best anime up there
sharePeople kept telling me that if I liked Attack on Titan I would also like Terra Formars, but I didn't really enjoy Terra Formars. The plot is really basic and the concept is just silly.
