Thing is, BESIDES political correctness, (even) modern day cinematic "Hayes Code", the existence and active work and popularity of feminism, the fact that men in general are PHYSICALLY stronger than women and also, for one, don't get pregnant, which SORT of comes into play, that men have been perpetrators of this type of and other evil deeds sadly since the existence of mankind first itself, that in life often justice is hard to serve and evil of this sort often remains unpunished, that its more PLEASANT for many to FEEL this way and that SOME complexities here exist that go beyond simple right and wrong, good and evil and putting everything bad into one basket etc...
Women, for one, are BIOLOGICALLY different and hence, among many things also, the fact that men have this penetrating organ, is why in general and also in cinema it is considered not too taboo and excessive to hurt men in this way who are guilty of such a wrong, but not the same or similar is often seen if women were to do something along those lines, even if at times in movies, they may also be portrayed as villains.
Hence why in general, with rare exceptions and even THERE we don't quite think of going this way in addition to those reasons, why we see women who may at times do this as more offenders and yes criminally and legally responsible whereas men we the upset civilized folks as well, as women in general among such folks, who do this we often see as MONSTERS whom when such vengeance is exacted against get their just desserts.
That's the secret TRUTH here that folks like one among others wondered about for a bit at least - albeit sometimes, in their typical, unrestrained, unsubtle and selfish ways, since he even wrote - but of course I won't spoil et all.
