I really regret watching both seasons of this.

I was annoyed after the first season ended because they explained nothing. Thought I'd see if they make up for it in season 2. Nope! Great acting, great cinematography and sound work. Very underwhelming writing.

I feel a similar way. I wouldn't say I regret watching the seasons but I have never watched two seasons of a show and still have no concept of what the show is truly about apart from shallow perceptions (dead people coming back to life). That is definitely frustrating but I still find the show to be very intriguing and I will most likely be tuning in for season 3...hopefully that season will clarify things more concretely.

Will there be a season 3 even?

I don't see how, knowing how season 2 ended.

I agree: I really feel I wasted hours of my time on this. Thankfully in the last 4 episodes of S2, I discovered I could fast forward on my Apple TV and still read the subtitles.

I wasn't annoyed with the first season at all -- I thought it was very intriguing!

But that was of course with the promise of answers / completion in the next season, which never really came or just wasn't very satisfying. It's like they took so long between the two seasons that they lost their way... or just didn't care any more.

So I very much agree with the title of this thread: you could just watch the first season and then walk away with the knowledge that you saw a well done season that saw no decent ending.
