The World is Not to Die

The new trailer confirmed that NTTD is a carbon copy of Purvis & Wade's first script, TWINE. They've come full circle.

What exactly is the logic behind copying one of the most critically unsuccessful and generally maligned films in the franchise? They must be so out of ideas (it took about eight writers to make the script after all) that this is all that was left.

Why do you think it's a carbon copy of 'The World Is Not Enough'? I'm curious

The new trailer shows some specific things that we hadn't seen before, and it's very similar. A lot of the locations, set pieces, stunts, and just the general aesthetic looks very similar. The plot also seems very similar. There's something about nuclear bombs and someone who wants to use them to "kill millions," there's some underwater submarine scene with an explosion and Bond swimming away from it, and Saffin looks the same as Renard.

Hmm interesting. However I feel like 'Skyfall' is very similar to 'The World Is Not Enough.' They both had MI6 being attacked, the character M being used as a major plot device, and the villain wanting revenge on M.
