Well I'm never rewatching the latest black sails episode ever again! Lol.

Don't get me wrong, the episode was awesome but that brutal keelhauling scene made me realize why I am a trypophobe.(trypophobia)

Heck, I literally had to look away when the camera was focused underneath the ship while Blackbeard was being dragged against the barnacles.

I still can't believe how LONG that scene was and how Blackbeard was keelhauled not once, not twice but THREE freaking times!

Great season so far - nice to see some PIRATE STUFF going on in the show about PIRATES and not all the blah blah blah from women like the first 3 seasons.

Even after one haul, the sheer infection someone would experience would almost mean certain death. I was looking away from my TV for much of that scene. Just nasty.

Never realized they're was some other type of torture out there I never heard of before. And yes, it was quite brutal and horrendous.

It says something that upon seeing the thread title, I knew exactly what it was referring to. Blackbeard's fate was brutal, all right. And the guy never said a word of protest. Defiant until the end, no matter the extreme suffering. When they first rigged him up I said to my wife, "They're going to keelhaul him." She said, "What's that?" I said, rather despairingly, "You're about to find out."
