WORST BRITISH ACCENT EVER!!!!

...yeah,I cringe everytime i hear her(also, reminds me of the "I'll cancel the pizzas" line from Batman and Robin)

Have you not seen 28 Weeks Later? That is her accent... also prior 28 Weeks Later she was a model in the UK....

reply

No different than my accent. Wish it was less "clipped" if I'm honest. People always assume I'm either posh or wealthy. But I was brought up talking this way (went through a period of disguising it when I was a teen though).

On a side note, the UK has an astonishing number of accents for any country let alone one so small. Even a town/county can have as many as four dialects. A city or region has dozens. I love it. Can't understand them all, but love it nonetheless.

Even though she is British, she was trying way too hard with her accent.

reply

She was trying too hard with a clipped, posh English accent.

Its that man again!!

reply

She's born in Hammersmith and raised in Chiswick, both in the West of London, England.

Was she supposed to have a Bostonian accent or something?

reply

Did you even see the movie?

No but for someone who is British, her accent sounded fake. And there is something wrong with that.

Also she had very bad chemistry with Aaron. Not only her accent but her chemistry with him was completely unbelievable.

reply

Yes I did see the movie, and while there was certainly emphasis on her accent, it didn't sound fake to me. There's such a huge variation in accents within England that a lot of people wouldn't know where they're from.

Her chemistry with Aaron, or lack thereof, has nothing to with the accent that is subject of this thread.

reply

Her lack of chemistry with Aaron was a side comment. I was not referring it to have anything to do with her accent. Quit being a smart***!

Well your comment makes me wonder if you actually saw the film. And her accent sounded completely fate.

I am over this. You have your opinion I have mine.

Done.

reply

You just said her accent sounded "fake".

Your "opinion" is and opinion and his "opinion" is a fact, it's her real accent.

That's me telling you that your accent sounds fake from wherever your from.

That makes sense.

Done.
