Most telegraphed plot twist ever? (spoilers)

When David overpowers the other android, Walter (despite having a healing factor, etc), maims himself and takes his place on the colonist ship.

Did anyone not see that coming? It was played like it was a huge twist at the end but it was painfully telegraphed the moment David gets Walter to pause (ugh) and looks over at the knife (ughhhh) before the film cuts away from the action.

Agreed. Ridley shouldn't have even bothered hiding it from the audience. That's too distracting.

SEEING that it's still David, pretending to be Walter, can be far more suspenseful.

Just like knowing who the killer is in the movie, and watching people overlook him due to his charm and his lies.

That can be much more entertaining.

For me the movie was already a disappointing and this was just the cherry on a disgusting mess of a cake.
No, I can't believe there is anyone out there who didn't see it coming. Shame on Ridley Scott for allowing it to happen.
