Question about the death of the new bishop

Heahmund kills the new bishop but now doesn't this mean he will still be barred from recovering the bishopric and possibly punished for murder (of a high official)?

reply

I guess we'll have to wait and find out.

He can try and tell Alfred that the bishop was planning on killing him. He did divulge this to Lagaertha before the act itself. Maybe he'll rely on Lagaertha to affirm to the king that he had learned this.

Those nuns were clearly witness to him storming in there to confront the bishop, though they left before the gruesome murder.

I agree, I think this is likely to happen.

It's very beneficial for Heahmund, who initially must have felt pretty depressed when he found out he had been replaced during his absence. Like the vikings he had his feeling/experience of being dispossessed by an unworthy usurper. Lagertha has a worthy ally in him especially if he regains his official position and duties - their settlement in East Anglia will need advocates.
