Haven't seen this one, but these docuseries really tend to draw things out.

You could probably cut out an episode or two if you got rid of all the time they spend on dramatic build ups to the next big revelation and long establishing shots and transition effects.

The story could have told fully in less than two hours.

Yes, they could have, but they might have lost the interpretation they were shooting for in the first episode (I think that episode was purposely assembled the way it was for maximum emotional impact later on).

I would also like to see some of these illustrate time passage better. I know this one often posted how many hours had went by, but at different times it was left unknown. For example, in sexual assault cases, there have been times when DNA evidence has been obtained up to 72 hours after the assault and I don't recall that hour amount mentioned (nor if any DNA evidence of this sort was recovered).

This is for basically all Netflix docuseries, they are made to create time. I have spent now 4 hours (fall asleep at Ep 3) which Netflix got and no other streaming service - thats what they want. Of course, this could be easily told within 60, maybe 80 minutes, but that would be at least 50 minutes less playtime for Netflix.
