Paying Turturro for sex?

Lets be honest here. That would never happen, Male or Female. His ego must be a lot bigger than his schlong.

reply

My thought exactly! I'd pay NOT to have sex with him.

reply

All the guys cannot be as handsome as me.

reply

Hey, he's a friend of Adam Sandler. Many legs will spread for him.

reply

Must be a science fiction film.

While Mr. Turturro is a fine actor and director, he is hardly William Holden, Errol Flynn or even Huntz Hall in the good looks department. Casting him as a lady-killing gigolo did tend to stain credulity, just a bit.

What's next, Janeane Garofalo portraying the lead in the "Charlize Theron Story"?

reply

To be fair, his character in the film says that he's not good-looking. I think that his character was meant to be good with the ladies despite not being very attractive. Women tend to overlook physical perfection if there are other qualities present, so apparently his character had these other qualities. I didn't necessarily see these qualities myself, but I think that's what the film was intending to convey.

Now, why two gorgeous women would need to pay a man to have sex with them, I will never understand, but that's a different question.

reply

Yes, I see your point; look at the beautiful Sophia Loren having been married to the late Carlo Ponti (hardly Marcello Mastroianni or Franco Nero) or Jane Fonda having been married to Tom Hayden (who will never be mistaken for Brad Pitt).

reply

I would totally pay Turturro for sex. He's hotter than hell. Too bad I can't afford him :D

reply

His character's a great lover, and I'm not into guys, but I think Turturro is decent-looking.

reply

Actually I thought it was pretty believable.
At first I was skeptical, but women are not as visual as men.
Also, the first woman at least had such limited options she
was asking Woody for help?
And, I don't think women who would hire a gigolo ( what a
word ) want to fall in love or get addicted.
No, I think you are pushing male attitudes onto female
characters.
But the unlikeliness of it all just adds to the comedy.

I still crack up at that initial session he has when he walks
out of the building the guy hosing down the sidewalk! Perfect!
