Yeah. Potentially transformative in your favor. This tyrant really gets my goat. It's bad enough that we Americans routinely have a choice restricted to the lesser of two evils when it comes to presidential or any political election. But now this ***hole wants to FORCE people to cast a vote for somebody they don't know, don't care about, don't agree with, and don't really support. What kind of nonsense is that.

In my opinion, most of the people that don't vote, shouldn't be voting anyway. Too many Americans simply have their own interests at heart when casting their ballot, rather than the health, prosperity, and strength of their nation as a whole.

Compulsory voting is bull****. Obama only wants it because his people got spanked in the 2014 midterms. If he'd done a better job as President, and his party fielded better candidates, that wouldn't have happened. Voter turnout is a reflection of all that, and forcing people to vote when they have no passion for any of the candidates is just stupid. Not only stupid, but wrong.

And the idea of having to pay a tax or go to jail for NOT voting. I'd sooner shoot the jackass sent to try to enforce that than vote for somebody I don't want to cast a vote for. That's insane. Who is going to enforce this compulsory voting business. Just another way to swell the coffers of people that have FAR too much of our hard earned money to begin with.

I hate having to vote for the lesser of two evils. But in American politics that's usually the choice. Good people tend to shy away from politics these days, and instead run businesses, or become artisans, or some other worthy pursuit. Seems only scumbags go in for politics anymore, and the few honestly decent people that do are ruined by the whole environment. It's really sad.

Compulsory political service I might be able to get behind. The best, brightest, strongest and most productive among us should be forced to serve a term in public office. Those that seek political power are not people I want to have political power.
