It's ok

SPOILERS

It was an ok film. Not one of Statham's better ones, however I love films set in Las Vegas around the gambling scenes and tables. So that was fun to watch. However, not enough meat on the bones.

However, I thought his gambling problem scenes were a bit disjointed. Felt out of place. I think it would've worked better if it was spread out a little throughout the film. Felt weird that it started to surface so far into the film.

The fighting scenes with Statham are always a highlight.

I love watching Statham's films, but this one could've been better.

I rented it without knowing it was another adaptation of Goldman's novel, "Heat."

This was a huge improvement over the Burt Reynolds version, at least.

And I enjoyed this a lot, but I took it as a Statham movie that simply used "Heat" as a plot structure

Though in truth, Goldman's version of Nick wasn't THAT much different from Statham's
