This story is actually true. Here is real life dude who really did went to space. He was like 47 when he went. And he really was chubby like Michael Peña is.

I kinda thought they have to be young and athletic to go to space. But apparently not.
You can see in joint picture of him from space station with other astronauts that all of them look like middle age men who never saw gym.

I guess as time goes on , and the "pioneering" is done and things are more routine ... you need a bit more brains and experience up there to do the science n stuff .

I was thinking reading that wiki that it wont be long before the "Why is This Brown Man On My Screen???" racism comments would start , but I see that thread already happened 20 mins before this one :(
