I thought it might be a movie like “Children of Men” or something. I thought there would be suspense and maybe a little horror. But it seemed so dull: watching some blond chick sit around her home while it’s raining outside. And her character didn’t seem too interesting

I shut it off.

Anyone who watched past 28 mins, let me know if I missed out on anything

It gets better than the start, but not by all that much. It's slow, tries to be more artistic than it really it, and that's about it.
