Anyone else consider this a slight tearjerker??

I know it sounds silly, but besides Toy Story 3, this has been the only animated/Pixar movie I have gotten emotional watching. I mean VERY emotional. Not so much that it is a particularly sad movie, but more bc it taps into your emotions so realistically, that it is more of an almost involuntary reaction to get emotional during this movie. For a family movie, I thought it was EXTREMELY deep and well-thought out. It didn't go for the cliché formulaic "emotions" in other similar movies. The whole dynamic btw Joy and Sadness and especially BING BONG, made this kids movie enjoyable by adults.

Yes very much so. I'm 67 and male and this movie really got to me. Watching our grandkids growing up shows me how fleeting childhood is. You don't know that when you're in it yourself which is just as it should be otherwise you couldn't be a kid. I've watched this movie a number of times and cry everytime. It is funny, sad, with a seriousness too. Especially when Bing Bong fades.

This movie is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT a tearjerker. Don't listen to anybody who says it's a comedy, because it's not. The whole reason this movie exists is to make you - yes, you - cry. I watched it last year, and it was pure misery.

OMG I just remembered that one line that could make me cry an ocean...

"Take her to the moon for me"

Why is life so unfair???

It's not silly at all. Pixar's animated movies have always appealed towards adults and made them emotional, so they've served their purpose. I was genuinely moved by the emotional scenes in this movie, especially the memory dump scene.
