shareprobabaly after the song sung by Groucho Marx in Animal Crackers
shareYou're right, it's named after the Groucho Marx song.
Fritzi: Oh save the speech, rummy. She's *beep* I'm ready, and the goddamn show must go on.
Glad someone called this, the second I read it I went "hey it's Capt. Spaulding the African explorer" love the Marx Brothers especially Animal Crackers
sharePhil got it from the Groucho Marx song from Animal Crackers. :P
I was confused, though, I thought maybe this movie had something to do with the Marx Brothers at first. Now I wonder why they gave it that title...
Did you watch the movie?
During the movie, Melanie Lynskey's character is having a melt-down post-divorce. As she sits around her parents house for months on end, she watches a lot of Marx Brothers, including "Animal Crackers". That's where the reference fits in.
Jules Winnfield: "I'm sorry, did I break your concentration?"
Every time there was a clip from a Marx brothers movie I wished I was watching that movie instead.
shareThe movie was absorbing, but should have been better to live up to such a great title.
