if Jonah hill keeps this up

he will not make it to age 50. seriously. he looks really unhealthy.

reply

The constant and dramatic weight loss and rain has to be due to drugs.

I was being patient but it took too long.

reply

if you are going to procrastinate you had better get started now

I'm not sure why he gained weight for this role, or if he just happened to balloon up again before filming this. the real guy wasn't fat. or at least isn't fat in the pictures ive seen of him

He didn't really gain wait for this role. He got fat and said it as a joke.

I understand some people are naturally fatter than others, but Jonah Hill obviously has no will power. He should be in much better shape...nobody is saying he needs to be buff or ripped, but not obese. He is in unhealthy territory.

A guy with his money and schedule has the ability to get in shape far more than others. He can afford trainers and even nutritionists. He has the finances to have a home gym so he doesn't even have to go anywhere...he's just a lump who would rather eat.

he's an oscar nominated actor, who went from superbad to martin scorsese movies... he's lost weight a few times now and isn't as big as he was in this film.. he's lost a lot of weight.. maybe look him up in a recent interview or picture before being such an *beep*

i would argue he has a lot better will power than you and all the other people who keep talking *beep*

What does being an Oscar nominated actor have to do with anything? I'm not saying he isn't a good actor, but as someone who's gone from bit parts in comedies to drama roles he also had a break or two along the way...not that any of it matters.

He has lost weight, and then he put it back on. It shows he can lose weight but he doesn't have the will power to keep it off. The simple fact is keeping the weight off would mean less food (and/or drinking beer) and more exercise. It's not rocket science as far as being in shape goes...I personally don't eat very well (lots of junk food) but I don't overeat, cut down on my beer intake and I exercise. I'm in pretty good shape. At one point in my life I was kind of doughy because I ate a lot of junk food, drank a lot of beer and didn't exercise much.

There are various types of will power I suppose. Some have the ability to stick to their dream of becoming an actor despite facing constant criticism and rejection. To me this isn't the same as what I'm talking about. At this stage in Jonah Hill's life he's rich. he has far more advantage than regular people when it comes to getting in shape. There's very little excuse for being in as bad physical condition as he is.

um it has to do with being a hard worker numb nuts.

"..I intend to live forever......So far, so good..."

What does working hard at something you love and succeed at have to do with will power? Jonah Hill loves acting and loves the fact that he's worked with famous people. I've seen him in interviews and he clearly values the fact that Scorsese sees worth in him. It doesn't take much will power when you're paid millions of dollars to work with great actors and directors, one would think.

Will power is about sticking with something that isn't easy. Losing weight is challenging if you're used to eating a lot and not exercising. It's not like Jonah Hill plays action heroes...his acting work isn't that hard. The biggest challenge is the long days of sitting around doing nothing.

he's filthy rich. and can make a living being a fat actor. why should it matter if he's fat or not. the fact that he can drop the weight on a whims notice shows incredible will power.. when he doesn't have to why the hell should he? you know the type of restaurants that dude can afford to eat at? probably not keep snacking on those slim jims, and judging from your sheltered little world.

"..I intend to live forever......So far, so good..."

reply

Why should it matter? Well, on top of the very obvious health benefits (including simple things like not being winded walking up a few flights of stairs) it makes walking past mirrors lots easier.

Affording fancy restaurants doesn't mean you have to stuff your face with the food. The cost isn't a factor in being fat as much as amount of food one shoves in their pie hole (which in his case seems to be a lot) is....

Anyway, I don't really care. Anybody who looks like him with how much money he has is ridiculous....Hire a trainer and get in shape. Stop being a slob.

reply

no what does it matter to you? why do you care so much if he's big or not? stop being a douce bag. seems like you really care about his weight when you should focus on yourself.

"..I intend to live forever......So far, so good..."

reply

He looks great compared to 400lb people. He should stop hanging around Brad Pitt. Maybe if he hung around Mama June or Fluffy or Ralphie May he'd look like Adonis

reply

He's known to be an *beep* anyways, who cars about him. I only watched this for the guns and Ana de Armas.

Don't get hurt kid. I'm not your daddy, I'll beat you senseless.

Damn people magazine readers!!! seriously, discussing a 'celebrities' weight is probably the lowest a person can go without stealing from babies or beating women...

reply

I thought he put on weight for the role?

reply

It's been wonderful to see him grow from that likable geek on Freaks & Geeks to being such an adventurous character actor. He's a treasure and I hope he remains in good health for many decades to come.

reply

He is back to losing weight again. Looks much better. For now.
