What about Angie? (spoilers)

I have just one question.

Angie survives, ok.
Rabbit return to killer home because he not fits in society anymore, ok.

But... If Angie escaped, she did not call the police? They don't go to the house and close it? They'll not find Rabbit?
The movies forget about what that girl would do! Of course the police will search all the place and know about the boy.

I've just watched the movie and keep wondering the same, I'm supposing Rabbit led her go, he just saved her life and I think when you are in that kind of situation (don't forget this is just a movie) she probably didn't say a word about Rabbit cause he saved her. She trusted him, and he saved her, I want to believe she just go to the hospital and home and never mentioned about him. Well this is just silly I know, but they left you thinking about her and that's what I want to believe that happened.

reply

I think she died. Rabbit left her alone on his bed, in a house with no phone, still suffering from a grievous injury - then when he returns to the house, we hear nothing from her.

But it's up to us to decide. This is left hanging by the film.

Snake Plissken. I've heard of you. I heard you were dead.

No, she didn’t die: the last we see of her, she’s lying on the bed sleeping. She was all cleaned up, she was dressed in clean clothes. I think Rabbit stitched her up, drove her to the near hospital, and she went on with life

As for why she wouldn’t call the police - rabbit might’ve asked her not to, and since he saved her life, she said oK. She might have also been so traumatized that she chose to never talk about what happened to her

We have NO reason to believe she died, she was doing better on that bed, as he probably sewed her up, tended to her, and drove her home - after all, she KNEW that Rabbit killed Bob in trying to save her. It's very plausible that was enough closure and Rabbit asked her to not go to the authorities.

- Just adding my .02 :)

Also a totally valid thing to imagine for ourselves.

I think he fixed her up (we know he is educated in anatomy, we've seen him do stitches, and they have medicine bottles from other victims, probably some antibiotics in there somewhere)

So, he fixed her up, and put the chain around her ankle.

She's now the new slave, and he's the master. She's "Rabbitette"

reply

Rabbit tells her that she will fall sick and die in 2 days

reply

She may be dead, blood loss or sepsis

I was thinking the same thing. I wish the film would've clarified on that, instead of ending so abruptly. And as in for the people who are saying that she died...I disagree. You have to remember that Rabbit studied the human body and stabbed Angie precisely in a part of her body that wouldn't lead to excessive blood loss. I think Angie lived. Who knows, maybe when Rabbit returned home (back to the murder house), he kept Angie as a slave, and repeated the same dark and twisted process that he was forced to endure. Maybe Rabbit became the murderer and tormentor.
