Not so great casting

Curious why they picked Carl Marino to portray young Kenda. They dont look or sound alike and Marino most certainly lacks the gravitas of the real Kenda. They most certainly didnt pick him for his acting skills. Marino is wooden, stiff, looks awkward in everything he does on screen. He even looks awkward moving his eyes around. Ugh!

The first few times I saw him, I thought that was the way Kenda wished he looked! But I like him very much on the show. I follow him on Facebook, and I like him as a person as well.

Narcissistic dirty ex-cop? No thanks. If you are not familiar with his shady past, Google it. The real Kenda doesn't think too much of him and has spoken about it.

He runs marathons for charity; he adores his wife and his family. He admires & respects Joe Kenda. And he's a conservative. I like him very much. And people can change. Maybe he was like that once, but I can name at least one person who has done a huge change in his life and become a good husband, father, citizen, and is very active in charities and with kids.

He does resemble Kenda a bit and that's probably the main reason. Personally I couldn't care less about the actor's private life, I think he is doing okay as young Kenda.

Unlike the real Kenda, he mumbles. This, coupled with the continuous over-loud music, makes some of his lines inaudible.

I think most people who love the show like Marino's portrayal.
