Why the concerted effort to tank this film with negativity?

Is it just me or are their loads of PRICKS (especially here) trying hard to make sure folks don’t go out and see this amazing film? I mean, why so much aversion for a film you haven’t even seen??? I don’t get it! Is it because the director is French? I thought the French-hate-thing died when George Bush left office?

Usually when I see a much overhyped film and it ends up being much worse than it was hyped to be - I go on boards and say how I really feel about this film - especially after reading raving reviews from other peeps.

If you go in with very crappy expectations, then you might find it to be ok. So you see - I'm actually trying to improve the people's overall experience if they choose to see this film.
