This probably the best movie ive seen in YEARS. True homage to the original movie but turned it into its own thing at the same time amazing. I wish star wars would have gotten the same treatment.

I think it will win in Best Cinematography category.

Man I hope so. Roger Deakins did a terrific job and he really deserves one after so many nominations.

What other movie is in the running for best cinematography for the Oscars?

since its overrated af with plot holes and loose ends in the script...I think not....

I agree it's the best movie I've seen in years, but I don't think it will win best picture. It doesn't fit the bill for the type of movie they look for.

However I think it has a realistic shot (and should win) best cinematography and best production design, but Dunkirk will be tough competition in both categories, and rightfully so. It will get nomimated for Best visual effects but I doubt it will win, some shlock will take that trophy.
