[Spoilers] 2:15 Run? (Haters: Door is that way >> )

When Mav runs the proof execution to show the feasibility, I could "swear" I saw at one point that from the ground for those that were not flying the test run, could see the pilots "real time" actions of the plane AND pilot's face/expressions while the run was happening, including high G events.

I've watched it twice, but not scrubbed it...I am asking.....was I imagining seeing the pilots reaction on the monitors while running the test missions or was it just the flight telemetry of the planes systems?

From their reaction when Mav executed it flawlessly, I think he outshined them all by knocking off 15 seconds right off the target runtime, but he also lazed the target, fired, confirmed strike while in the high G climb, and hit it 15 seconds sooner than any of the TG students ever could. I'm just curious if the "students" got to see the masters face while he showed them how it needs to be done....anyone recall this...or is it a figment of my imagination?

Thanks.

This is a good question. I saw it opening weekend, so I don't know how reliable my opinion is, but I remember it as we the audience see his face/expressions, but the observers in the movie see just the telemetry.

I think I sorted out where my original question came from. When he was doing the Mach 10 run, and Harris says you got balls stick jockey, the wall of screens showed Mavericks face via camera in the cockpit before it hits 10.4 and explodes. I was "expecting" the same type of feedback during the training runs, but I guess it had two different feedback mechanisms.

Not a big deal, but would have been cool to show Mavs face when he made the run an "what it took" to do that job...and with 15 seconds less than what they were expected to do.
