When Ender killed all the Formics, did he kill any innocents, or were they all involved in the first invasion?

Maybe this is explained better in the book, or maybe I just wasn't paying attention. But at the end, when Ender killed all the Formics, did he kill any innocents, or were they all involved in the first invasion? Because Ender never mentions innocents being killed, that would be a pretty good argument as to why it was wrong. If they were all involved in the first invasion, I don't see anything wrong with killing aliens that murdered millions of humans. Also, if he'd destroy the planet in the simulation, why wouldn't he do it for real? The simulations are supposed to be practise.

It would not be wise or practical to invade with your entire species, so attacking the home planet would of course kill innocents. Although if they were a sort of hive mind, the answer wouldn't be clear cut.
As for being ok to wipe out a race that was aggressive once..i disagree.
I don't remember if it was clear in the movie, but I know that the aliens didn't know each human were individuals,
as opposed to their own hierarchy where a queen controls a bunch of "drones", and they were horrified upon finding this out.
In other words, the "invasion" was more of a misunderstanding.
This explains more.
