Teacher with kids scene was awesome!

I laughed so much at how ridiculous everything was. Then she pulled out a gun, even though she's pregnant and I laughed again.

Overall, this was a fantastic movie. I really enjoyed it.

Agreed
I'm surprised how many people expect this film to be down to the detail Realistic yet fawn on over bloated and over rated comic capers.
It was absurd in spots. It was fun. It had a heavy handed social commentary but all with a dark humor. I'll take this over sequels and reboots

reply

Those comic capers do a much better job of explaining the world and the rules of that world within the movie. This movie had so many questions about how that worlds and what let to it, why they run it like that, how they can survive, etc. It is a poorly written movie that has some entertaining value.

Like how the Hulk was able to control his powers without explanation at the end of The Avengers? Oh yeah those movies do a great job explaining everything.

The movie was really good and you need to have an open mind. I mean everyone loves these super hero films and it's absolutely rediculous to think of in real life and far more out there than Snowpiercer. We love them anyway. This film was so good and has a good story to tell if you only suspend belief like most every film out there. I swear this MB is filled with 15 year olds or something.
Oh and Allison pill as the teacher in that scene with the kids was brilliant. Along with the action and fighting scenes!

THERES NO ROOM IN MY CIRCUS TENT FOR YOU !!!!

Yes, one single example proves it all wrong.

Films/books that just drop you into the story without explaining anything are the best ones. Why should everything be explained?

Anyway, the teacher/eggs scene is absolutely brilliant.

reply

This movie reminds me a lot of a Terry Gilliam movie, this scene in particular.

reply

But not one of his best movies (like his masterpiece, Brazil).

A masterpiece of shlt

reply

Yes. I thought it was for that purpose that the John Hurt character was named Gilliam.

reply

I think the movie is vastly overrated by critics, but I did enjoy that classroom scene.

Was 2nd best part of the movie. But I cant stand that actress, her love triangle angle in Newsroom almost ruined the show. I can't find anything she does believable.

reply

Completely agree. Alison Pill tries too hard in everything she does, she takes me right out of whatever show/film I'm watching with her in it.

reply

That’s exactly what I was thinking as I read this thread. Pill is a pill. I was so glad to see her killed.

reply

Yeah, awesomely BAD.
