Ship episode was really good. Question about Navy ships.

This was a neat episode, with some good feels and tension and action. Bunch of history fleshed out. And our lead character actually had to use his own skills to save the day. I question how accurate some of this was. I mean it really felt like we were veering into Star Trek territory. But is there really a big red button that drops the anchor instantly? I thought dropping anchor was a whole big operation.
