This is a favorite series of mine, but I've started to wonder how long it will continue. The only reason I'm wondering is because Brenda Blethyn turns 77 years old on Feb. 20th, not that she looks 77! All I can say is that I'll be sorry to see this show end, but I don't see how it can continue without her. However, I did find an article from a couple of years ago where she says she enjoys the role and plans to continue as long as her health is good.

thought same thing of Shetland written by same author the character can be done by others just think of all the Sherlock Holmes we have seen

I'm curious to see how and what Shetland does, now that Douglas Henshaw is leaving.
