seems a bit off. They keep pointing the camera at the regulars so we can see them react - perhaps because there is little else for them to do. Also, if you'll forgive me, I think Brenda Blethyn is wearing about half-a-pound of makeup that just looks wrong and they spend too much time in close ups.
I was looking forward to the return of Vera but now I'm wondering if it's just about run its course?

just start over that is what I do have not watched season 11 yet seems like each season gets fewer episodes

Naw. There's too much new stuff, or old stuff to watch for the first time, to rewatch Vera - even though I've enjoyed it in the past.
