Spoiler. Mannequin question

Were the mannequin real people that he preserved? Or fake? Only reason I ask is they show a part on the deer missing eyes.

reply

Real people.
If they had been mannequins the sheriff would not have freaked out about it and hunted mr. peculiar down.

reply

I don't think they were real people. Where would he have got bodies? Pretty sure they are just mannequins.

reply

He was seen doing some taxidermy earlier on in the movie on the deer. I got the impression they were real people preserved. He wouldn't have cared so much otherwise and adds to the freak value.

reply

Could have been real. He admitted he murdered at least one poacher who he crossed paths with near his house.

reply

They could have been real. They could have been fake. Either way I think it works fine.

reply

looked like mannequins.
i think if they wanted em to look like taxidermed people, they have the special effects to do so...

reply

They were real people.

reply

They looked like taxidermied people.

reply

Naturally they were supposed to be taxidermied real people. That was one crazy character.

reply

Those were clearly mannequins. The special effects department would have been able to create some more realistic looking examples had they been meant to look like preserved real folks.

reply

Nope. Real people. If you watch again you can clearly see they are actors standing still - that is the problem with this scene, in taxidermy the eyes always look fake, the skin dries out - in the film they are far too alive and healthy looking!

reply

He was a very good taxidermist. ;)

reply

They were real people he had killed and stuffed.
