Since it was a direct to dvd release chances are you didn't lose much if you rented it.
shareI try not to comment on movies that I haven't seen in their entirety, but I going to make an exception for this one. It started stupid and just got stupider. After about 45 minutes I gave up. It was cliche piled on cliche.
So I read the plot, in the vain hope there might be something worth me going back and watching the rest of it, so yes, I know there's a big twist. As tho that justifies the brainless tricked up style of the part of the movie I actually saw. No. that just makes it all the more stupid because it isn't even what its tricked up style works overtime to suggest. It isn't ironic: it's idiotic.
And as for the twist, well I'm really glad I never made it that far. Elitist anti poor bs. So now it takes a village to raise a child, but first one has to kidnap them? The entire premise is disgusting.
I couldn't agree more. It is actually sad that some people have suggested it really made them think. Think what? That it's ok to go out and kidnap other people's kids so they can have a better life learning to paint in the city. The speech the girl gives at the end is just vile.Mind you I shouldn't get so worked up really as the idea behind the film is so ridiculous and unrealistic any way.
shareYou simply missed the point of the film by being offended half-way through. Don't be offended. Just because Jessica Biel's character is the protagonist, doesn't mean the director is condoning her actions. The last 20 minutes proved otherwise. It's a social critique on upbringing. I'm sorry it wasn't a straight-up thriller.

shareI was bored to tears. IMDB has to stop tricking me. 6.0 my ass cheeks. This gets a generous 2/10 for me.
