Truly awful movie

I quite liked the twist in the middle but the terrible justification the kidnappers had at the end disappointed me.

Then again many people have woeful justifications for committing heinous acts. It's just the fact that the audience were supposed to treat the question of kidnapping children as some sort of deep moral conundrum I found laughable.

I hated it for so many reasons, but everyone else seems to rave about it.
From Julia's superhuman healing powers (walking away from a crash, a dog attack etc etc )
To the fact that the police don't care that all these children are going missing (for all they know it could be a paedophile, a cannibal etc etc)
And the fact that they accept no money...how in the hell are they funding everything?
It was trying to be clever, but it just felt ridiculous.
